Although the AQM1 product has been ready for a little while, we have now refined and tested it to our satisfaction and just launched the website to promote it to both the general public and the wider commercial markets. It’s been an interesting journey that has involved the skills and expertise of many talented individuals as well as support and funding from external bodies.
We had an initial conversation with a large Housing Association that showed there was interest in our solution. However, it also revealed that there were regulatory barriers that need to be addressed before mass adoption could proceed in this sector. They had a similar product on trial but had halted it due to these regulatory issues. However, they saw that the AQM1 had more potential which was encouraging for us.
Before the new website was built, we developed a new brand identity and went through the whole process with a local marketing agency Good Comms. It was great to work with them and see the new logo come to life. It puts us in a good position for our marketing going forward which we are working on right now.
Also, during the course of the launch process we came across some other competitors during our market research phase, which both surprised and reassured us that we were on the right track. It confirmed there is a market for this type of air quality product, but also that our version has some key advantages.
We have further updates to the product and also the reporting which we are launching over the coming months that will further cement our technical lead. Now we will start marketing the existing product in earnest across our chosen markets. We will keep you updated!
